Hot Chip To Play One-Off Gig In Town Decided By Fans

Although it’s unclear when UK electro outfit Hot Chip will return to Australia to tour their recently released 5th studio album In Our Heads, the popular demand generated from the band’s upcoming UK tour in October has prompted Hot Chip to get creative in adding an extra date to the schedule.

As opposed to assigning themselves an extra stop, Hot Chip are leaving it up to their fans to decide where the additional gig should take place. Hot Chip posted the news on their official website and informed fans that they will play a special one-off gig at Folkestone, York or Stoke-on-Trent based on which town shows the greatest interest. No matter which town wins out, the show will take place on October 7 and include special guest Songkick and Detourjam.

Furthermore, Hot Chip have also tacked on a second hometown performance: the Brixton Academy in London on October 18, 2012.

With much excitement currently centered on Hot Chip, hopefully Australian fans will have their patience rewarded with a speculator once the band makes its way to our shores.
