Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylor has announced two last-minute solo shows, to take place at Sydney’s Phoenix Central Park next Monday, June 3rd. The two back-to-back performances will mark his first solo shows in Australia since his 2017 headlining tour, as well as his first shows here since Hot Chip toured the country in late 2022.
Taylor is heading to Australia as part of Melbourne’s RISING festivities for 2024, performing an exclusive DJ set at the Shannon Michael Cane tribute show Someone Great: A Celebration, alongside Sydney DJ duo Stereogamous. He was announced on the bill as part of RISING’s expanded program earlier in the month.
Alexis Taylor – ‘So Much Further To Go’
Taylor will perform solo for two sessions at Phoenix Central Park: One at 6:30pm and one at 8:15pm. The only way to get tickets for either performance is via the Phoenix Central Park ballot, which can be accessed here. The ballot will close at midday tomorrow (May 31st), with those successful in the ballot to be contacted by email that afternoon.
Taylor comes as a last-minute addition to the boutique venue’s 12th concert series season, which began earlier this month with a performance from Ale Hop. Artists set to perform there in June include Phoebe Go, Body Type, Still House Plants and Memorials. Full details can be found at the Phoenix Central Park website.
