Inertia Sign KUČKA To New Imprint Midnight Feature

Sydney-based independent music company Inertia has announced Perth electro dream pop weaver KUČKA as the first signing to their brand-new imprint, Midnight Feature.

Midnight Feature will be spearheaded by imprint Head of A&R Mark Dodds, with Inertia’s Amelia Jenner joining him. Inertia has launched Midnight Feature with the express directive of focusing on the fringes of Australian pop music.

As evidenced by latest single Divinity, KUČKA is capable of taking the fundamentals of the pop genre and stretching them to breaking point into the digital dimension, where tight electronic drum rolls and synths wash and envelop you.

Co-produced by WA’s James Ireland (Hamjam/The Chemist), Divinity stands as a preview of things to come from KUČKA, real name Laura Jane Lowther. Her second EP is set for release via Midnight Feature early next year.

Divinity is just the latest triumph for Lowther, who provided backing vocals on A$AP Rocky‘s track Fashion Killa and will play at Laneway Festival 2015 in Perth. With Divinity due out Tuesday 25th November, KUČKA will play two single launch shows in the same month.

KUČKA will perform as part of Sydney event Sunday City Limits in the Inertia ARIA Week Showcase. The event is free and takes place at Vic On The Park Hotel. The second single launch show will take place during Perth’s CoLAB Festival. Full details below.
