Interpol Take On The Waves In ‘All the Rage Back Home’ Video

New York post-punk revivalists Interpol have gone black and white in the video for their new single All The Rage Back Home, the lead track on their upcoming record El Pintor, due to be released in Australia on 5th September.

The clip, which interchanges between black and white shots of the band and footage of some serious surfing, was directed in tandem by Interpol guitarist and vocalist Paul Banks and Brooklyn filmmaker Sophia Peer, who has previously worked on videos for The National and Paramore.

The band’s forthcoming fifth studio album is titled El Pintor, which is both Spanish for “The Painter” as well as an anagram of Interpol. The album will follow the band’s 2010 self-titled release. On the album, besides his usual frontman duties, Banks has also taken up the bass following the departure of long-time bassist Carlos Dengler in 2010.

Interpol will hit Australian shores in July to perform at Splendour In The Grass 2014 and were also named as one of the acts taking part in Splendour’s pre-festival party.
