Jack White has confirmed that he will be shifting his attention to something more positive than calling his peers “assholes”, confirming this week that work on new material from The Dead Weather has begun, though the time is to be shared with a search for dead bodies, or something.
The news came via the Third Man Studios’ Twitter account, accompanied by a photo of the gang, that is Alison Mosshart of The Kills, City and Colour bassist Jack Lawrence and Queens of the Stone Age’s Dean Fertita with White looking fairly sharp standing next to a loader, which we hope is the inspiration for the bodies reference.
The last time we heard from the band was 2010’s full-length Sea Of Cowards. That record followed hot on the heels of their 2009 debut Horehound so at first, a high turn over rate was looking good, though understandably, they all have a lot on their plate.
The band managed to fit in a cheeky Australian tour in between releases so there’s every indication we will be included in their new happenings. Stand by for more updates.
