Hitchhiking adventure girl, Jackie Marshall, has just unleashed her explosive new album Ladies’ Luck – “a blazing Janis Joplin meets Dolly Parton affair, that rocks its huge heart out” – just like the gal herself (as anyone who has seen Jackie’s brilliant live shows will testify).
Ladies’ Luck chronicles Jackie’s real-life adventures and tall tales since the release of her critically acclaimed – and AMP shortlisted – 2006 debut Fight n’ Flight. Where Fight n’ Flight was a stripped down, acoustic gem (featuring Jackie’s masterful guitar playing), Ladies’ Luck reflects her need to make some noise “because these sounds have been doing blockies around my skull for a decade and I needed to get them out!” says Jackie.
To celebrate the launch of Ladies’ Luck, Jackie has announced album launch dates in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne. Here’s the details:
