Hot on the heels of wrapping up an Australian tour with his band Thirty Seconds To Mars, frontman/movie star Jared Leto will undoubtedly be hard at work practicing his “Nyeh’s” after bagging a new gig playing Skeletor in the upcoming He-Man film adaptation, Masters of the Universe.
As Deadline reports, the emo icon will play He-Man’s arch nemesis in the live action flick, with newcomer Travis Knight (Bumblebee) directing.
Skeletor’s Best Insults
Purple Hearts star Nicholas Galtzine leads the all-star cast as He-Man, while Alison Brie is on board as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba is Duncan, Man-At-Arms and Camila Mendes will star as Teela.
Elsewhere, House of the Dragon’s Sam C. Wilson, Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson and In the Grey actor Kojo Attah have all signed on to play other villains in Skeletor’s diabolical crew.
The animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe hit screens in 1983, with several other film and TV adaptations following over the ensuing decades.
Masters Of The Universe is slated for release in June 2026.
