Legendary rocker, John Fogerty, will do a run of Australian tour dates this March/April. He’ll perform live the albums of Creedence Clearwater Revival, like classic albums such as Green River and Cosmo’s Factory, in their entirety. In addition, Fogerty will perform a bonus set of his solo canon of hits.
The tour will include shows on Tuesday 27th March at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena (Cosmo’s Factory), Thursday 29th March at Adelaide Entertainment Centre (Green River), Sunday 1st April at the West Coast Blues & Roots Festival in Fremantle (Cosmo’s Factory), Tuesday 3rd April at the Sydney Entertainment Centre (Green River), Thursday 5th April at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (Green River) and wrapping things up with a performance on Saturday 7th April at Bluesfest in Byron Bay (Cosmo’s Factory).
John Fogerty’s remarkable career began in his hometown of El Cerrito, California, soon earning massive popularity and critical success with the one and only Creedence Clearwater Revival. As leader of CCR, Fogerty forged a distinctive, groundbreaking sound all his own.
From 1968 to 1971, Creedence Clearwater Revival unleashed an incredible succession of hit singles and platinum certified albums that remains unparalleled in the annals of rock ‘n’ roll history. Green River, the second of three CCR albums released in 1969, proved their first out-and-out blockbuster. 1970’s Cosmo’s Factory marked Creedence Clearwater Revival’s biggest seller and greatest critical triumph. After Creedence Clearwater Revival called it quits in 1972, Fogerty embarked on what would prove to be an equally impressive solo career. 1997’s Blue Moon Swamp earned Fogerty further acclamation, as well as a Grammy Award for ‘Best Rock Album.’
He’ll also be appearing on the West Coast Blues & Roots and Bluesfest 2012 line-ups.
