A statement by Joni Mitchell‘s representatives say the iconic musician remains hospitalised but is “resting comfortably” after she was found unconscious in her Los Angeles home and rushed to hospital last week.
“We are encouraged by her progress and she continues to improve and get stronger each day,” reads a statement on Joni Mitchell’s official website. It is still unclear what the 71-year-old Joni Mitchell is being treated for.
Joni Mitchell was found unconscious in her home this past week. She reportedly regained consciousness in the ambulance on route to the hospital where she was admitted to intensive care. A subsequent statement from her representatives stated that Mitchell was “undergoing tests and is awake and in good spirits.”
In the last few years Mitchell made public her battle with the controversial Morgellons disease – a condition where sufferers believe and feel the sensation of parasite-like beings eating away at their skin. It is condition that divides many in the medical community.
A website has been set up by Mitchell’s reps to aggregate Facebook and Twitter messages to the legendary musician with the #WeLoveYouJoni hashtag.
