Joni Mitchell has been pictured out in public for the first time since she suffered a brain aneurysm last year.
She was spotted at a Chick Corea concert at Catalina Bar and Grill in Los Angeles with a photo from the night later posted on her official website.
“We are thrilled to see Joni out and about again,” reads the caption.
It’s a great sign that the 72 year-old is recovering well after she was found unconcious in her house in March of last year.
It was originally reported that she was in a coma, however, those reports were later shut down with her reps confirming that she was in hospital but was expected to make a full recovery.
As Billboard reported, in late June, Mitchell’s attorney Rebecca J. Thyne confirmed she “has physical therapy each day and is expected to make a full recovery”. She returned home in July and by the looks of this latest photo she’s happy and well.
