The Julie Ruin Pull Out Of 2017 Laneway Festival

UPDATE 02/13/16: The replacement act for The Julie Ruin has been announced.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Julie Ruin have been forced to pull the plug on their Australian tour for Laneway 2017.

The US dance-punks will no longer be appearing at the festival, due to their guitarist suffering from an “unanticipated and unavoidable medical conflict at that time”, making it impossible for the band to travel in January and February of next year.

“It is with sadness that we have had to cancel,” the band writes. “We look forward to playing more shows next year.”

Laneway has also responded to the announcement, saying: “We’re working on replacement… Standby x”.

We’ll bring you any updates as they happen.

Laneway is returning to lush locations in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Fremantle and Sydney again in Jan and Feb of next year, with a huge lineup that still boasts Tame ImpalaNick Murphy (FKA Chet Faker), A.B. Original, Car Seat Headrest, Floating Points, Glass Animals and loads more.
