Kanye West Completely Removes Chris Brown From New Donda Update

Kanye West has updated his latest record Donda yet again, this time completely erasing Chris Brown from the album.

Originally featured on the track ‘New Again’, Brown is now completely off the song. Instead, Kanye has added a choir to replace the singer’s vocals on the track. When Donda was released at the end of August, Brown called Kanye out for how minimal his guest spot on ‘New Again’ was, calling him ‘a whole hoe’.

Neither Kanye or Chris Brown have commented on this latest update, but album updates like this aren’t exactly new. Since the project was first announced, Kanye has been amending and debuting new versions of Donda in the months since.

As part of this most recent update, Kanye’s also replaced Kenyan artist KayCyy’s vocals on ‘Keep My Spirit’ alive, supplying his own instead. KayCyy still appears elsewhere on Donda, his vocals appearing on ‘Hurricane’.

Earlier this week, Netflix announced a multi-part documentary on Kanye West’s life called Jeen-Yuhs. Taking in footage from over 21 years, Jeen-Yuhs is set to be released in 2022.
