Kanye West‘s Twitter account is once again dominating the ~discourse~ and the news cycle, and now he has tweeted that he misses ex-friend and collaborator Jay-Z.
He posted a screenshot of a video of himself and Jay performing ‘Otis’ together at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The original poster, Twitter user @ajexpress01, said “Whenever I’m bored I just watch Kanye and Jay Z perform Otis at the 2011 VMA’s and then I’m not bored anymore.”

‘Otis’ was the lead single to the 2011 collaborative album between Kanye and Jay, Watch The Throne, which celebrated its ninth birthday over the weekend.
Alongside the screenshot of the video, West wrote “Miss my bro … real talk.”

The relationship between the two has slowly deteriorated over the past few years, with many pointing to the wedding of West and Kim Kardashian as a catalyst. Jay was reportedly set to be West’s best man at the wedding, but he and wife Beyoncé ended up not attending the wedding altogether.
NME reported in 2017 that West was planning to diss Jay in a track following Jay apparently calling him out on his 2017 album 4:44, but nothing ended coming of that.
In other music news from West, he was set to release his tenth studio album, DONDA, a few weeks back, but has yet to become available for streaming or purchase. The album will – presumably – feature West’s recent collaboration with Travis Scott, ‘Wash Us In The Blood’.
