Kanye West Sued Over LAX Paparazzi Assault

We all know how much Kanye West loves the paparazzi – now he’s being sued by one, with videographer Daniel Ramos taking Yeezy to court after the two got into a scuffle at LAX back in July, with the cameraman claiming assault, battery and interference with his right to free speech.

The incident was caught entirely on film (below), with the Yeezus rapper seen trying to take Ramos’s camera off him, saying, “What you’re trying to do is get me in trouble.” Ramos twice says, “I don’t want to fight you” in the footage but claims he “sustained injuries to his right hip, as well as accompanying pain and emotional distress”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the paparazzo has hired high-profile attorney Gloria Allred, who has publicly called for West to apologise for the “unprovoked” attack, saying, “That would be a start. Kanye needs to do the right thing.” She also condemned celebrities who have come out in support of West, like Cher and Kirstie Alley.

It was previously thought that Kanye may face felony charges over the incident, but the LA County district attorney’s office filed no such charges after deciding there was no significant injury, instead referring the case to the city attorney, who is reportedly still considering misdemeanour charges.

K. Widdles has had plenty of drama with the paps this year, having already lost his stack at them back in May when they caught him walking into a pole on film. The rapper has also reportedly ordered his-and-hers bulletproof vehicles for himself and his lady Kim Kardashian in order to keep them away from their baby daughter North West.
