Karnivool Have Officially Teased Their Fourth Studio Album

Hold onto your butts prog fans, a new era of Karnivool is upon us. The Perth legends have officially begun teasing their first new album in 12 long years.

Ian Kenny & co sent hype levels skyrocketing when they posted a stack of BTS photos on social media, showing them hard at work in the studio, alongside the caption, “Our summer was pretty good. How about you?”

“Our summer was pretty good. How about you?

Fan reactions to the news, which also marked the band’s first Instagram post of 2025, have been appropriately seismic, with one commenting, “I’m gonna EXPLODE with FLUIDS”.

While others couldn’t help but chastise the ‘Vool for making us wait so long for a new record.

“July 2013 Asymmetry was released…. In that time I, built a house, got married and had two kids, both of which are now in primary school. Cmon now!!” one punter wrote, while another quipped: “Are you guys trying to break Tool’s record or something? Release new music pleeeease!”

The last we heard from Karnivool was their groovy, sinister 2021 single ‘All It Takes’, which marked their first new music since 2013’s challenging (but brilliant) Asymmetry LP.

A hypothetical new record would mark the prog rock icons’ 4th studio album.

We’ll keep you posted with further updates as we get ’em!
