Has Kendrick Lamar’s Sister Accidentally Confirmed His J. Cole Collab?

It looks like the sister of Kendrick Lamar Duckworth might have accidentally leaked details of the rapper’s long-rumoured collaboration with fellow hip hop star J. Cole, in a pair of social media posts.

As Stereogum reports, Kendrick’s sister Kayla Duckworth has taken to Facebook to say a “collab” is dropping in February 2016.

After sharing some love for her bro’s new track Black Friday (in which Kendrick raps over Cole’s A Tale Of 2 Citiez), Kayla says to “be on the look out” for a collaboration which is arriving on 16th February. Here’s her Facebook post, which has since been deleted:

Kayla also reportedly posted the same information to her private Instagram account, but didn’t include the release date.

Earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole each dropped a new track titled Black Friday, in which they rap over each others’ instrumentals — J. Cole freestyling over the beat from Alright and Kendrick, as mentioned, taking on Cole’s A Tale Of 2 Citiez.

Interesting, Cole’s Black Friday track (below) includes the lines, “When you and K. Dot shit dropping? / Bitch never, they can’t handle two black niggas this clever / But this February, bet shit get scary when I fuck around and drop.”

It’s unclear if Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole’s rumoured collab is an album, a single, a mixtape, an EP or what, but it looks like it could well arrive in the new year. What is clear is that sisters still ruin everything.
