King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Will Release Four Studio Albums In 2017

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are already one of the most prolific bands around.

The Melbourne garage rockers have already pumped out eight studio albums over the course of four years, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down.

In fact, they’re chucking a seven-footed stomp on the mother flippin’ accelerator.

The septet have revealed to triple j that they’re planning on releasing not one, not two, not three, but FOUR BLOODY STUDIO ALBUMS in 2017.

Tool, please take note.

“We’re actually working on four separate projects at the moment, which hopefully we can release next year sometime” Gizz co-frontman Stu McKenzie revealed.

“Four Gizzard albums, I guess next year, that’s the idea,” clarified drummer Eric Moore.

“Stu’s been chipping away at [the next] record that we’ve tracked all the music for and it’s just the stage of putting together a few overdubs and get it mixed,” he continued.

And that’s not all. This LP awesome foursome will also come on top of the band’s planned Beyonce-style visual album release of their 2016 effort, Nonagon Infinity.

“That’s in the works too,” Eric said. “Jason Galea, who works on most of our visual stuff, is working on animated section at the moment.

“We’ve already got two parts of the film – Gamma Knife and People-Vultures – co-directed by Danny Cohen and Jason Galea, who shares a Melbourne studio with King Gizzard… But I haven’t seen Jase for the last two weeks, because he’s been editing pixels — living off dim sims and barbeque chips. I think the Nonagon movie is going to be pretty insane.”

In the meantime, King Gizzard are currently in the midst of their Nonagon Infinity national tour of Australia.

It’s official then. They’re bloody robots.
