Melbourne fuzz purveyors King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard left a lasting impression on industry hob-nobbers and music lovers at the recent BIGSOUND conference and it seems the band plan on striking while the iron’s hot. They’ve announced a run of headlining shows throughout November, in celebration of their new album Float Along – Fill Your Lungs.
The album is slated for official release on Friday, 27th September, giving punters just a few days to get their heads around this new offering before it’s presented to them live. The first bump from the album arrived via the US overnight in the form of a white powdery substance called I’m Not A Man Unless I Have A Woman. The track premiered last night thanks to Nylon Magazine, who also debuted the official music video.
Back in August, the band released another single, 30 Past 7, which was supported by a cheeky run of headlining shows. It’s safe to say we’ve been given a good idea of what’s in store for us aboard Float Along – Fill Your Lungs and that’s plenty of psychedelic haze–the good shit.
