Kingswood Announce Debut Album ‘Microscopic Wars’, National Tour

Melbourne’s Kingswood have announced the details of their highly anticipated debut album. During an appearance on Triple J with Lindsay “The Doctor” McDougall, the four-piece revealed that their debut album is titled Microscopic Wars and is currently slated for release Friday, 22nd August.

The Kingswood boys have spent the last 12 months hitting home runs, kicking off 2014 by sharing stages with the likes of Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire on the Big Day Out 2014 tour, before embarking on a national beach tour with Calling All Cars, and getting a little rural for Groovin The Moo 2014.

The lead-up to Kingswood’s debut full-length album — for which the band headed to Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee to work with the Grammy Award-winning Vance Powell, best known as Jack White‘s go-to producer at Third Man Studios — has been marked with the release of three blistering singles – Ohio, She’s My Baby, and the sultry, distortion-fuelled Sucker Punch.

Now, the boys have unveiled the latest taste of Microscopic Wars, the Queens of the Stone Age-esuqe I Can Feel That You Don’t Love Me. The track sees guitarist Alex Laska take over vocal duties from singer Fergus Linacre, bringing to life the track’s feverish lyrics – get it on iTunes now.

The band will also be celebrating the release of Microscopic Wars and I Can Feel That You Don’t Love Me with an extensive string of new tour dates, which kick off on Wednesday, 20th August at the Pirie & Co Social Club in Adelaide. Check below for all dates, venues, and ticketing details.

UPDATE 11/08/14: Due to demand, Kingswood have added extra Sydney and Melbourne dates to their Microscopic Wars tour. Full updated tour information is available below.
