Knife Party Album Leaked Early On iTunes, Rockets Up Charts

Just after they took to Facebook to announce a delay with the release, the highly anticipated debut album from Australian electro-house duo Knife Party, Abandon Ship, has been unexpectedly released two weeks early on iTunes, and has already rocketed up the charts.

The debut album from the critically acclaimed electronic music heavyweights has been a long time coming. Originally slotted for an October release, the duo took to Facebbok just a few days ago to apologise that “after lengthy discussions with the powers that be” the album wouldn’t arrive before November 24th.

So imagine their surprise, and the surprise of fans, when lo and behold Abandon Ship arrived two week early in the online iTunes store. “So iTunes accidentally released the album three weeks early,” wrote Knife Party on Facebook today. “Still no.3 on iTunes USA ain’t bad damn you Taylor Swift and OneDirection,” they added.

Knife Party will showcase all these new tunes on home turf very soon, when they head to Australia, to perform five shows across the country in December. See those tour dates below.
