Kobie Dee has released a new track, entitled ‘Warriors & Storytellers’. It is the Gomeroi rapper’s second single released in 2024 thus far, following the release of ‘Statistic’ on January 26 – the date commonly known as Invasion Day. In a press statement, Dee described the song as focusing on both “the end of a journey and the start of a new chapter”.
“In this track, I highlight the year where a lot has changed for the better and where a lot of hard work has paid off,” he said. “Releasing this after ‘Father’s Eyes’ and ‘Statistic’ is my way of showing that, although I’ve had some harder times in my journey and there are still things I am working on, there is hope. I’ve reached a time in my life where I feel I am able to express the excitement of the times I have arrived at, and what is to come in the future.”
To accompany the single’s release, Dee has also shared a new music video for the song. The video was created by Gold Coast-based production company Jaen Collective, who have previously made clips for artists such as Timomatic, B Wise, Skegss and Horrorshow. The video can be viewed below.

In addition to releasing the aforementioned ‘Father’s Eyes’, which featured Australian Idol winner Stan Walker, 2023 saw Dee feature on Mali Jo$e‘s track ‘Neva That’ alongside Jcal. He also performed as part of that year’s Listen Out festival, as well as at the ceremony for the National Indigenous Music Awards alongside Thelma Plum, Barkaa and Budjerah, among others.
