Kreator And Death Angel Announce 2014 Australian Tour

Germany’s biggest thrash metal export and one of the Bay Area’s most respected thrash bands have announced they will soon launch an assault on Australian shores. Kicking off this April, Kreator and Death Angel will be howling and shredding through the East Coast, Perth, and Adelaide.

Arguably the most notable members of the Teutonic Big 4, which includes Destruction, Sodom, and Tankard, Kreator have been an elementary part of the global thrash scene for almost 30 years, unveiling 13 seminal releases in the genre that have garnered fans and influenced others.

The band’s live shows have been praised as mayhem-filled, non-stop moshes, with blistering displays of virtuosic musicianship and some of the heaviest riffs ever to come out of an amplifier. The band will be touring with tunes from their last studio album, 2012’s Phantom Antichrist, in tow.

Joining the mighty Germans will be San Franciscans Death Angel, who spawned from SF’s Bay Area, a veritable hive of thrash metal activity, and have unveiled some of the most groundbreaking releases in the genre, including the classic, Act III, which is still cited as an influence today.

This will be a trash show unlike any other Australia has seen for some time. “Prepare to get your face ripped off!” says Kreator frontman Mille Petrozza, while Death Angel are ready to follow-up from the carnage of their 2009 tour with Armored Saint. Tickets are $59 + bf, see below for details.
