Kurt Vile & The Violators are heading to Australian shores, and they won’t just be playing Laneway Festival 2014 and a pair of shows for Sydney Festival, but two freshly announced headlining gigs in Melbourne. Whew!
The first Sydney Festival date will see the full band playing Sydney Town Hall, while punters will be treated to a more stripped-back affair the following evening, as Kurt Vile plays a solo show at the Circus Ronaldo Tent. The Melbourne leg of the tour will see Vile play back to back shows at Richmond’s Corner Hotel, with the festivities taking place on the 5th and 6th of February.
Vile has had his most commercially successful year to date, basking in the glorious success of latest studio offering Walkin On A Pretty Daze, which is set to be re-released as a deluxe edition with a new EP, It’s A Big World Out There (And I Am Scared). All Melbourne dates are on sale now.
