Legendary Sydney DJ In “Induced Coma” Following Three-Storey Fall From Paris Balcony

Dan Single, founding member of veteran Sydney DJ collective Bang Gang and founder of Aussie fashion label Ksubi, has been hospitalised after falling three storeys from a hotel balcony in Paris.

Thankfully, the 36-year-old is now out of intensive care after being admitted in a critical condition last week, however Fairfax is reporting that he remains in an “induced coma”.

According to News Corp, the fashion and dance mogul “[shattered] every bone from the bottom of his spine to his heels, after landing directly feet first” following the accident in the French capital on March 11th, where he was filming a fashion video with his wife, model Bambi Northwood-Blyth, for their P.Jamé sleepwear range.

Luckily he suffered no head injuries, but it’s believed he won’t be back on his feet for quite some time.

Single AKA Dangerous Dan and his DJ collective Bang Gang are sadly no strangers to tragic accidents. Their OG lineup included Beni Single (DJ Damage), Jaime Wirth (Jaime Doom), Mikey Nolan (Double Nolan), Angus Gruzman (Gus Da Hoodrat) and Adrian Thomas (Ajax), who was killed after being hit by a truck in 2013.

While another affiliate of the collective, Jack McCord, almost lost his life following a motorcycle crash in Bali in 2014.

Bang Gang DJs have been recently announced on the lineup for Ministry Of Sound’s Reunion club tour this May, and Music Feeds has reached out to the label for comment on whether or not the rest of the group will still be performing.

In the meantime, Single’s family have reportedly flown to Paris to be by his bedside, while Bambi has posted a picture on Instagram with a message for her sister, whose wedding she was forced to skip because of the accident (below).

Get well soon, Dan!

UPDATE 20/03/2017 9.17pm: Ministry Of Sound have confirmed that Bang Gang will still be appearing at their reunion club shows in May.
