Lewis Capaldi has announced his return to Australia at the end of 2025, playing a run of arena shows across November and December. The shows will mark the Scottish singer-songwriter’s first shows locally in almost six years, following the cancellation of his planned 2023 tour due to his then-recent diagnosis with Tourette’s. In his sole statement about his upcoming world tour, Capaldi offered this succinct message: “About time I got back to work. See you out there.” The Australian tour announcement comes just over a week after the multi-platinum artist performed a surprise set at Glastonbury – the very same place where he was last seen performing live in 2023. Having been unable to complete his previous performance due to his Tourette’s, the singer used the UK festival to launch his comeback. The 2025 set included the live premiere of his new single ‘Survive’, which can be streamed below.

In addition to performing in Australia, Capaldi’s world tour will also see him return to New Zealand. There, he will play in Auckland for the first time since January 2020 at the city’s Spark Arena, as well as in Christchurch for the very first time at the city’s Wolfbrook Arena. Capaldi last successfully toured Australia over the 2019 and 2020 new-year period, playing sets at Falls Festival as well as headlining shows in Sydney and Melbourne. He was set to be one of the headlining acts of the 2023 Splendour In The Grass, but pulled out a month prior as he cancelled all touring commitments and withdrew from public life. “I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come,” Capaldi wrote at the time. “I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve.”
Those that purchased tickets to Capaldi’s cancelled 2023 Australian tour will have access to an exclusive pre-sale for the 2025 dates as a mea culpa of sorts. These customers will be contacted directly by the tour promoter, Secret Sounds, with a link ahead of the sale on Thursday, July 10th.
