Hothouse Flowers have announced their return to Australia for a headlining tour in February 2026. It will mark their first run of shows locally in nearly 20 years, having last visited Australia in April 2006 to perform at that year’s Bluesfest as well as a run of their own headlining sideshows away from the festival. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.
In the two decades since they were last here, the Irish folk-rock band have undergone two line-up changes. Double bassist Rob Malone joined the band in 2008, replacing previous bassist Kieran Kennedy and joining both longtime drummer Dave Clarke and the band’s co-founders Liam Ó Maonlaí and Fiachna Ó Braonáin. Then, in 2015, fellow founding member Peter O’Toole (guitar, bass, backing vocals) returned to the band after an 11-year absence. The band released their most recent studio album, Let’s Do This Thing, the following year, featuring the newly-expanded quintet.

In addition to performing in Australia, the band will also return to New Zealand for the first time in almost 35 years as part of their Oceanic visit. Following the end of the Australian tour, the Celtic rockers will head to Auckland for one night only to perform at the city’s Tuning Fork on Saturday, February 21st – marking their first show there since 1991. More information and ticketing links for their Aotearoan return can be accessed via the official Tuning Fork website, TuningFork.co.nz.
