CONTENT WARNING: The following article discusses alleged assault
Liam Gallagher and his girlfriend, Debbie Gwyther, have called a report stating that Gallagher assaulted Gwyther a “pack of lies.”
UK tabloid publication The Sun published a story late last week that offered an anonymous source’s allegation that Gallagher assaulted his girlfriend.
“Liam and Debbie had been arguing and then he just completely lost control and went at her,” the source is quoted as saying.
“He was aggressively pushing her down the corridor. Then he stopped and turned away and she started to follow him. He suddenly wheeled round, reached out and pushed her by the throat with one hand while holding what looked like a bottle of beer in the other.”
“Debbie’s head was thrown back by the force of his hand. Liam totally lost it.”
However, it seems that both Gallagher and Gwyther have a different recount of events – namely that this event, according to both of their social media posts, didn’t happen.
Gallagher took to Twitter to say that “I have never put my hands on any woman in a vicious manner.”
Gwyther took to Instagram to say that the article in question is a “pack of lies” and said she’ll be taking legal action.
