Listen: Deftones Put New Album In Its Entirety Up For Streaming

The wait is finally over for Deftones’ fans, who have been patiently waiting for their first taste of the band’s 7th studio album Koi No Yokan. The whole album is currently streaming over at Rolling Stone and the general consensus seems to be that it rocks!

Scrolling through the tracklisting, you may notice a few of the tracks. Leathers, Tempest, Rosemary and Roller Derby have all been previously heard. It goes without saying that the rest of the album is chocka-block with otherwise unheard gems.

Worthy of note is the diverse range of moods and energies found on the album. Koi No Yokan bounces up and down, meandering between skull-crushing brutality, to a more minimal, ambient vibe.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, frontman Chino Moreno explained that their previous album Diamond Eyes “was capturing lightning in a bottle. We had just come together, had a lot of constraints in terms of time, so we’re just banging things out, This time, we had a little more chance to experiment and just play.”

Have a listen to the whole thing, let it sink in and let us know what you think! You will be able to get your hands on the album November 13.
