One of Melbourne’s most famous residents (to certain people, anyway), Swedish singer-songwriter Jens Lekman, is making his return to music rather complicated this year. It was reported earlier this year that Lekman had new material in the pipeline that had been filtering out on the internet as recordings from live shows. It was encouraging, but not meaty enough to sate the true rabid Lekman fan.
Now, there is more news but even this is not entirely satisfying. A new album remains unannounced but Lekman will at least be putting out a new EP, with An Argument With Myself due for release via Secretly Canadian on September 19, according to TheLineOfBestFit.
The title track from the EP has found its way online, and can be heard below. In the meantime, Lekman will be playing dates in Europe during October, with shows scheduled in the UK, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Italy and France.
