Turns out as we wait ever so anxiously for the new Slipknot album, Corey Taylor has been trying his hand out at rapping. His bars feature on a new song with rapper Kid Bookie called ‘Stuck In My Ways.’
The song was actually birthed from an exchange on Twitter between the two. It all started when Bookie made the claim that Slipknot’s ‘Wait and Bleed’ had just as big of an impact on the culture as System Of A Down’s ‘Chop Suey!’ did.
SlipKnot – Wait & Bleed is as iconic as Chop Suey.

He later followed that with a direct tweet to Taylor, saying “I gotta work with you before both of us leave this earth.”

Taylor responded to this, and turns out he was bloody keen.

Now, two months later, we have the end result of this collaboration which Bookie seems eternally grateful for.
“This wasn’t for the culture, it’s for the world, infinite love to my brother @coreytaylor because we created an absolute monster and I’m for ever grateful for the love and more dude for real, if we perform this prepare for the world to implode,” Bookie wrote on Instagram.
This new music from Taylor comes out just before Slipknot release their new album on Friday, 9th August. On top of that, Slipknot is touring Australia later this year with Metallica – which this writer still can’t believe is real.
