Prophets Of Rage, the supergroup featuring members of Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill, have released a new track entitled ‘Made With Hate’. It follows the band’s last single ‘Heart Afire’ last year, and their debut, self-titled album in 2017.
The track continues to blend pretty ferocious riffs courtesy of Tom Morello and his Rage colleagues with confrontational lyrics that explore oppression and resistance.
“As with many songs, ‘Made With Hate’ was formed out of a conversation amongst ourselves about the level of passion fuel it takes to create,” says the band’s Chuck D about the fiery track.
“Especially when attacking something of hate. You must create the energy to hate ‘hate’. To have peace you have to despise hatred with a passion for peace and attack it. You can’t have hate take over anything especially history, so you have to fuel yourself to attack in thought word and deed with equal passion.”
It’s likely the track is from the band’s forthcoming second album, which bassist Tim Commerford revealed earlier this month is finished and well on its way.
