E Street Band Founder Little Steven Announces 2019 Australian Tour Dates

The Sopranos star, radio host and Bruce Springsteen’s right-hand man Steven Van Zandt AKA Little Steven has announced a pair of Aussie headlining dates with his 14 piece band, Disciples Of Soul.

Already heading to our shores for Byron Bay Bluesfest this April, the iconic founder & guitarist of The Boss’s famed E Street band will also perform two theatre shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

FYI as well as co-producing two of Springsteen’s most beloved albums, Born In The U.S.A and The River, multitalented Little Steven also famously co-wrote Jimmy Barnes’ 1985 hit ‘Ride The Night Away’, starred in the legendary, award-winning TV Mafia-drama The Sopranos as Silvio Dante and continues to host the acclaimed weekly international radio show Little Steven’s Underground Garage.

He also recently founded TeachRock, an education program that uses the history of music as a way to engage students, providing resources available to educators at no cost.

And in honour of that very initiative, a limited number of tickets to Little Steven’s Australian shows have been put aside for educators to attend for FREE (visit TeachRock.org to sign up and for more info).

“Music will forever be humanity’s most effective and consistent source of inspiration and motivation,” says Van Zandt of his mission. “And, we have learned, music turns out to be our most solid common ground for establishing communication between teachers and students which is where education begins.”
