Lurch & Chief Are Breaking Up, But Not Before One Last Blowout Show

Lurch & Chief have offered an heartfelt farewell to their fans, announcing a final show before they call it quits.

In their official statement to bid us adios and promote their final show, the band stated:

“Today with much difficulty and sadness we announce our last show as Lurch and Chief. As all journeys go through their ups and downs, which we’ve had more than our fair share of, they must eventually come to an end and for us as a collective we feel that we can’t give any more and have reached this point.

“We go forward as the closest of friends, which nothing will ever change, and although some of us leaving the musical sphere for other paths, we want everyone to know that this isn’t the last you will hear from some us as musicians and we are very excited to embrace your ears in the future.”

Lurch & Chief were discovered on triple j’s Unearthed back in 2012, and have remained triple j faves ever since. They went on to play on some impressive Aussie festival stages including Harvest, Falls Festival and Groovin the Moo and then followed through with their 2013 debut EP release Wiped Out.

Last year they put out their second EP Breathe, and Friday July 1st at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne will be our last chance to see them belt out these tracks live.
