Mac Miller Has Died At Age 26

Multiple US media sources are this morning confirming the tragic death of hip-hop star Mac Miller at the young age of 26.

The Pennsylvania-born rapper was found unconscious at his San Fernando Valley home around noon on Friday and was pronounced dead at the scene, with TMZ reporting that his cause of death appears to be an apparent drug overdose.

Miller, real name Malcolm James McCormick, had been open about his struggles with substance abuse in his music, in particular his largely autobiographical 2014 mixtape, Faces.

The MC last toured Australia in 2017 for Listen Out Festival in support of his album, The Divine Feminine, back when he was famously dating Ariana Grande.

Tributes have already begun pouring in from the music world, including from Mac’s peers Chance The Rapper and J. Cole.

This is all obviously still very fresh, but we’ll bring you more news as it develops.
