Brisbane quartet Major Leagues have unveiled their latest slice of dirty garage-pop. Titled Silver Tides, the single is the first taste of their upcoming debut EP, Weird Season, set for release on 6th December, at conclusion of the band’s current tour with Jeremy Neale.
Having sparked momentum with the singles Teen Mums and Endless Drain, both of which garnered nods from blogs worldwide as well as hearty airplay on FBi, Radio Adelaide, 4ZZZ, RTR, SYN, and 2SER, Silver Tides is the next step in the evolution of this unique and sonically gifted four-piece.
The forthcoming EP is the kind of fuzz-drenched, feedback-manipulating pop-rock fans have come to expect from Major Leagues, channeling influences such as The Breeders, Dinosaur Jr. and My Bloody Valentine, with shades of 60s surf rock thrown in for good measure.
