Mar Haze Added To Festival Of The Sun 2015 Lineup

Sydney dub-rockers Mar Haze have been added to this year’s Festival Of The Sun lineup after getting the nod from triple j Unearthed.

Festival Of The Sun hosted Mar Haze’s blend of blues, reggae, dub, jazz and hip hop back in 2013, but this time around the band will be packing material from their self-titled EP, which dropped in July.

Mar Haze are about to kick off an east coast tour backed by their latest tunes, and they’ve told fans to be prepared for crowd participation, trumpet harmonies and lots of dancing.

“This has been a really big month for us. Everything is really coming together and we couldn’t be happier,” says frontman Dean Mitchell.

“We’re really grateful for this amazing opportunity triple j Unearthed has given us. It’s a great feeling to be acknowledged by such an iconic Aussie music station.”

Mar Haze join Festival Of The Sun’s extensive 2015 lineup which features the likes of Illy, Jebediah, Thundamentals, British India, The Delta Riggs and Alpine, who all sit on the biggest roster the event has seen in 11 years. The band’s addition to the lineup comes after Festival Of The Sun added an extra 15 acts to its lineup in September.

Mar Haze will appear at Sydney’s Australian Music Week conference this November before Festival Of The Sun goes down in Port Macquarie in December. Catch the festival’s full lineup alongside date and ticket details, below.

UPDATE 24/11/15: Commiserations late to the party punters, FOTSUN 2015 has officially sold out.
