From Nirvana to Metallica, Bieber is no stranger to wearing vintage rock and metal tees but he went one step further with Manson, repurposing his t-shirts with ‘Bieber’ written on them.
Now Manson has told Consequence of Sound that Bieber had the hide to say that he had made him relevant.
The two encountered each other in person and by the sounds of it Bieber was a little bit cocky about the t-shirt.
“He was [already] wearing the shirt that had his name on my shirt, and he said to me, ‘I made you relevant again,’”
“Bad mistake to say to me,” he added.
He then told Bieber that he would be at soundcheck the next day to perform ‘Beautiful People’ with absolutely no intention of ever turning up.
“He believed that I’d show up, because he was that stupid,” he said.
Eventually Bieber’s team gave all the proceeds from the shirts to Manson without even fighting. According to Manson, “they were just like, ‘yea, we already know, we did wrong, so here’s the money.’”
Despite the harmonious conclusion, however, Manson still thinks that Bieber is “a piece of shit”.
“He was a real touchy-feely guy, too, like, ‘yo yo bro!’ and touches you when he’s talking. I’m like, you need to stand down, you’re dick height on me, ok? (laughs) Alright? So stand down, son.”
This week, Manson announced his new album Heaven Upside Down and also dropped a new track ‘WE KNOW WHERE YOU FUCKING LIVE’. Judging by the intensity of that track, we wouldn’t bother Manson anymore if we were Bieber.
Justin Bieber did something similar w Marilyn Manson, except he had permission. It'd be cool if another artist could pull it off properly. pic.twitter.com/36DQSBBPiz
