Mark Ronson Uptown Fu*ks Up The Chainsmokers In One Simple Tweet

The ruling prince of production Mark Ronson has thrown his weight into the current drama surrounding controversial duo The Chainsmokers, cutting the group down to size with a tweet so polite and pointed that it’s goddamn savage.

Ronson just so happened to spy a cheeky announcement from The Chainsmokers on Twitter in which they exclaimed “We’re back!”, and he wasn’t just going to let sleeping dogs lie. The Uptown Funk mastermind took aim and fired, labelling the pair “charisma-bypassed champions of 2 bar Ableton loops”, and encouraging them to bask in the glory, “While it lasts.”

To add further impact, Ronson even provided a link to a low-risk investment company, no doubt suggesting that it may not last a whole lot longer.

This effectively puts Ronson on the side of #TeamGaga, after The Chainsmokers ripped into the pop star’s return single Perfect Illusion, saying the track “sucks”. Gaga later clapped back by tweeting them her current single, hoping they liked that one better.

The Chainsmokers have since responded to Ronson’s diss though, saying:

Ah pop beef, don’t you ever change.

Ronson is no doubt under a lot of pressure right now, considering the lawsuit brought against him and Bruno Mars by ’80s funk band Collage, who claim they stole certain elements from them to compose the 2014 uber-hit Uptown Funk.
