Former hosts of the ABC‘s ’90s music television programme Recovery, Jane Gazzo and Dylan Lewis, are set to present a “massive” Recovery special on Rage later this month, with Gazzo revealing on social media that the episode will air on 13th August.
Posting a photo to Instagram (below) of herself with Lewis and former Recovery film reviewer Leigh Whannellat at the show’s recent 20th anniversary reunion, Gazzo responded to a comment on the photo by saying, “There will be a massive Recovery special on Rage on Sat 13th August!!!”
Speaking about the new Rage special with The Music, Gazzo says working with Lewis again was, well, interesting.
“We chose all the live acts, something like 60 artists – it was so tough to choose,” Gazzo says.
“It was the first time we’d worked together in 18 years. I’d forgotten how funny Dylan can be. Some hilarious moments. He brought in musical instruments and toys. It was just like being on the Recovery set again.”
What’s more, Gazzo has confirmed too that a double Recovery DVD and CD box set is going to be released this November, featuring live performances, a booklet of photos and more.
While the 20th anniversary Recovery reunion reportedly featured appearances from members of Aussie bands like Powderfinger and Spiderbait, the programme is still reportedly working on a stage version of the show.
Rage previously hosted Recovery specials in November 2015 and September 2014, while Violent Soho hosted their own Rage Recovery special earlier this year.
