Spinner has reported that a new band by the name of Divine Fits has just come into being, consisting of members from Spoon, New Bomb Turks, and the recently defunct Handsome Furs.
The band announced its existence via its brand new Twitter account, which already has over 1,500 followers.

As Spinner noted, there was speculation that Dan Boeckner, formally of the Handsome Furs, had relocated to Los Angeles with the intention of beginning a new band. The Divine Fits also comprises Britt Daniel of Spoon and Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks.
The newly created band is already reportedly working on a debut record to be produced by Nick Launay and released via Merge Records.
