Mogwai Add Melbourne Headline Show to 2024 Australian Tour

Mogwai will be in Australia in February 2024. The Scottish post-rock outfit were previously announced on the lineup for the second annual Tent Pole festival at Geelong’s Mt Duneed Estate. Stuart Braithwate and co. will also headline venues in Perth, Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide and Sydney, and they’ve now confirmed a Melbourne headline show.

Mogwai will play at Forum Melbourne on Monday, 19th February. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, 8th November, with a range of pre-sales beginning on Friday, 3rd November – more details here. The specifics of the band’s 23rd February show in Hobart are yet to be confirmed, but it looks like it’ll be part of the 2024 Mona Foma program.

Mogwai haven’t played in Australia since March 2018. The band’s previous visit included a slot at Perth Festival, which is where the band will launch its 2024 Australian tour. The Glaswegians have been typically prolific since their previous visit. Mogwai’s tenth studio album, As the Love Continues, came out in February 2021, and they’ve also rattled off numerous film and television soundtracks over the last half-decade.
