With New Year’s Eve drawing ever closer, Falls Festival and Southbound Festival have announced some very special additions to their year ending parties, with a whole swathe of artists just announced.
Leading the ranks of new additions are The Wombats, the indie rock darlings joining the Southbound and Falls Marion Bay and Byron Bay line-ups, while missing out on the Lorne leg of Falls.
Wavves and Leon Bridges are also joining the boys for Marion and Byron Bay, and will also join the acts playing Southbound 2016.
The really big news however is all about Byron, with the festival’s New Years Eve line-up announced in full. The aforementioned Wombats, Wavves and Leon Bridges will be there, headlining the event and passing the torch from 2015 to 2016. They’ll be joined by local legends Peking Duk, Miami Horror, Tijuana Cartel, Bootleg Rascal, Goons Of Doom, Spirit Of Akasha and Bullhorn.
The new additions join an already stacked line-up which includes the likes of Bloc Party, Mac DeMarco, Courtney Barnett, Halsey, Hilltop Hoods, Disclosure, Gary Clark Jr and a stack more.
Tickets to the Lorne leg of the Fall Festival have already sold out, but catch ticketing details for the festival’s other legs as well as dates and the lineup below.
