More Acts Added To Panama Festival 2014 Lineup

Having already announced the likes of Charles Bradley, Husky, and The Frowning Clouds for its inaugural lineup, the organisers of Panama Festival have expanded further with names like Saskwatch, Super Wild Horses, Holy Holy, and The Babe Rainbow added to the bill.

Melburnian arbiters of soul, Saskwatch will be heading down to the Lone Star Valley in Northeast Tasmania with the strong pipes of frontlady Nkechi Anele and the dynamic rhythm and brass of her inimitable band in tow, to headline the opening night of Panama Festival 2014.

Meanwhile, Melbourne duo Super Wild Horses are quickly gaining a reputation for their minimalist, pop-infused garage tunes, and Queensland group The Babe Rainbow trade in a shimmering brand of surfy pop rock, complimented with lush psychedelic overtones and infectious melodies.

Their debut single Impossible Like You first turned heads Holy Holy‘s way, with its crystalline, jangle-pop guitars and shoegaze atmospherics and now this five-piece are bringing their elegiac vibes to Panama, alongside highly lauded Brisbane composer Mckisko.

Finally, Tiger Choir won’t be travelling far to get to Panama, this Tassie four-piece are homegrown heroes, who trade in a frenetic mix of dynamic guitar work, searing choruses and a mesh of drum machines and pumping synth. They’ve supported the likes of Deerhunter and Regurgitator.
