Motörhead Break Aussie Fans’ Hearts Following Social Media Fuck Up

Motörhead have been playing silly buggers with our emotions.

The hard rock legends today created a Facebook event for an upcoming show in Newcastle, Australia on January 23rd 2016, which unsurprisingly had local fans frothing at the proverbial.

Commentators on the social media site immediately demanded to know whether the band would be servicing non-Novocastrian fans as well, asking whether they’d be playing shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the like.

While the initial belief was that Motörhead had jumped the gun on a forthcoming Australian tour announcement, it soon became apparent that the venue that they had named for the event, “City Hall”, does not in actual fact exist in Australian Newy, but actually refers to the Northumberland Road venue in Newcastle, UK.

In short, somebody fucked up and tagged the wrong Newcastle, not realising that the repercussions of their actions would crush the dreams of Australian Motörhead fans en masse.

You win some, lose some, it’s all the same to Lemmy & co.

Although, the veteran rockers do have a new album Bad Magic, tipped to be released next month. Which means an Australian touring announcement could be likely to follow.

Devil horns crossed.

In the meantime, here is an appropriate song.
