Movements Announce Debut Australian Headline Tour

Southern Californian post-hardcore quartet Movements have announced their first headline Australian tour to kick off in August, and our little emo hearts are feeling all patched up.

There was disappointment earlier this year when the group dropped out of Moose Blood’s Australian tour scheduled for September, following allegations against Moose Blood’s frontman Eddy Brewerton.

They promised they’d make it up to us and they’ve now brought the goods, hitting most of our major cities across the country as well as Wollongong and Newcastle this year.

Special guests tagging along on the tour are Fearless Records buddies Eat Your Heart Out, an energetic pop-punk group from Newcastle who are starting to break through in the Aussie punk scene with the release of their last EP, Mind Games at the end of last year. The EP brought more vulnerability in the lyrics, especially in ‘Conscience’, which features Movements’ own Patrick Miranda.

Movements’ debut album really kicked it up a notch with tighter production and amazing, introspective lyricism. The band’s been crazy busy touring and are now on the Vans Warped Tour through North America. Their huge Aussie tour kicks off in Perth on 23rd August.
