Music Feeds LIVE: The Basics Streaming This Thursday

Following on from a 3-year hiatus, Melbourne outfit The Basics are back with more fury than ever, dropping their latest single So Hard For You and announcing a run of Australian tour dates. It’s obvious the band are making up for lost time, and what better way to get back on the horse than kicking off with a live-streamed session from Music Feeds Studio?!

The 3-piece comprises of Tim Heath, Kris Schroeder and, of course, Australian music royalty Wally De Backer, known to millions as Gotye. Rather than relying on spill-over hype from one member’s international success The Basics have created their own buzz, maintained over the years through the release of four studio albums, killer live shows and an international presence via syncs to shows like Californication and Scrubs. Also, Wally’s apparently got a mad beard now, totally worthy of its own publicity.

Earlier in the year, The Basics released their odds and ends release Leftovers, which encompasses the band’s highly eventful past and featured So Hard For You (below). This release followed closely to 2012’s Ingredients and together have become the namesake for the upcoming tour.
