New Muse Music Will Be Arriving Very Soon

Muse may finally be delivering on their much-teased new material very shortly, after it was discovered that iTunes had briefly displayed the artwork to their new work Drones promoting album pre-orders.

Reports Gigwise, the Muse artwork was only on iTunes for a short amount of time in the store’s “Alternative” category, before it was taken down, but not before some savy fans snapped screen-shots.

The indication that new Muse work is imminent is compounded by the fact that the band recently shared a video on Instagram of them recording a new song Psycho, saying that they were working to “a VERY tight deadline.”

Later on Twitter, frontman Matt Bellamy told a follower that the band were mixing a track and hope to be releasing it this week. He also added just hours ago that the band are “hitting deadlines” and “all news you want” will be “released tomorrow.”

According to Gigwise, the band also appear to been working on a music video with longtime video director Tom Kirk. He has been tweeting a series of images that seem to be connected to Muse while promising that something is “coming soon”.

All of this is the latest in a series of hints Muse have been sharing about their forthcoming album. Things we already know about Drones include that it will be produced by Robert Lange – who’s worked with the likes of AC/DC – it will be “heavy” in sound and will deal themes of “deep ecology, the empathy gap and World War 3″.
