Nick Ward Announces 2024 Debut Album Tour

Nick Ward has announced a trio of launch shows for his debut studio album, House With The Blue Door. The east-coast tour will take place in October 2024, a month out from Ward’s national run supporting Troye Sivan on his Something To Give Each Other homecoming Australian tour. The full list of dates and ticketing information for Ward’s headlining tour can be found below.

Ward announced House With The Blue Door earlier this month, which is set for release on Friday October 4th via Universal Music Australia. Three singles have been released from the album thus far: ‘Gimme’ in February, ‘Shooting Star’ in April and ‘All Your Life’ just two weeks ago. A music video was shared for the lattermost song, made by Ward with twin brother Tom, which can be viewed below.

In a press statement, Ward described the themes of House With The Blue Door as being about “family, childhood, and the difficult relationship we have with the past”. “I think your early 20s are about coming to terms with your childhood, especially after finishing high school and experiencing more of the world,” he said.

“Starting therapy really made me realise how much emotional baggage I was holding onto, and this record was made while I was unpacking all of that. I finished this album right before my 22nd birthday, so it felt nice to encapsulate my adolescence in one statement.”

Ward will be joined at all three launch shows by Friday*, as well as acts such as Dylan Atlantis, Juice Webster and King Ivy. Friday* and Atlantis, along with Ward, are members of Full Circle – a collective of Sydney musicians in the alternative, pop, electronic and rnb realm.
