Nicki Minaj Booed After Every Song At ‘T In The Park’

UK tabloid magazine The Sun has reported that American hip hop/pop diva Nicki Minaj threw a fit over the length of the grass surrounding her backstage dressing room during Scotland music festival T in the Park over the weekend. Minaj then proceeded to take the stage almost an hour late and performed for only 30 minutes, reportedly being met with boos after each song.

Normally an article about backstage theatrics that only quotes unnamed sources could be considered as speculation at best. But apparently Minaj’s unreasonable behaviour also caught the attention of her fellow festival acts, including English singer/songwriter Frank Turner.

Turner took to his Twitter account to express his disgust with Minaj’s treatment of the festival’s crew and in turn was met with a barrage of non-flattering responses from Minaj’s fans, particularly Krizztia, who operates a Minaj fan Twitter account, (the ‘entertaining’ tweets can be read below).

In response to the overwhelming replies from Minaj fans, Turner recently published a blog explaining his position in more detail. Turner speaks about the respect that should be given to the various crew members that make sure a festival operates as smoothly as possible, and how Minaj’s behaviour was “rude, selfish and inconsiderate.”
