NIN, QOTSA, Beyoncé, Empire Of The Sun & More For Jay-Z’s Made In America Festival

Back for its sophomore year, the Jay-Z-curated, Budweiser-endorsed Made In America festival has begun to reveal the line-up for its 2013 return. As you will see, the event is bringing some of the most buzzworthy artists in the world to the stage, because no-one in their right mind would ignore a phone call from Hov himself.

Nine Inch Nails has been listed as a co-curator of the event, and have also scored headlining position alongside Beyoncé, because the music industry is yet to look down on nepotism (no doubt something that also assisted Beyonce’s sister Solange making it to the poster).

Everyone’s favourite desert rockers Queens Of The Stone Age have been confirmed,Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris are on the list, followed by a run of hip hop’s next generation – Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore, 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky. The gang from Public Enemy will also be there to take things back to the old school.

The Gaslight Anthem got the tick of approval, showing that band is getting the respect it deserves and our very own Empire Of The Sun adds the Aussie flavour all festivals need. Check out the full line-up below.

Judging by how last year went down, looks like we’re going in for a live collaboration between Jay-Z and NIN, or Jay-Z and Queens – either would be pretty rad.

The show takes place at Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park between 31st August and 1st September. Between now and then, Hov will be releasing a documentary about the festival, directed by O.G. Ron Howard.
